International Women’s Day, is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women.
This day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity.
Throughout the month of March, Quantem Sites recognise International Women’s Day
It began with the launch of the Women@Quantem discussion forum on International Women’s Day.
The forum held on 8 March was an opportunity for all female employees, across different roles and functions, to connect and build relationships. The group will meet every quarter to discuss topics that will holistically benefit participants.
Victorian sites – Melbourne, Geelong and Head Office held morning tea fundraisers for local based women’s charities.
Other sites including Port Botany (NSW) and Mount Maunganui (NZ) held discussion forums around gender equality and challenging the bias in the workplace and at home and provided useful feedback on how Quantem can improve.
There is still a long way to go to ensure gender parity around the world and Quantem is committed, that we will continue to improve and work toward ensuring gender parity.
